Surveys and stuffs!

Hey everyone! 

Sooooooo we are starting to send out SURVEYS!!

WAHOOOOO!

We sent out a small batch to test the BackerKit system.  Once everything looks like it's working good, we'll send out the rest!  You should all begin to see them arriving in your email over the next few days.    Regarding Add-Ons and extras . . . They are listed in the add-on survey section and will be confirmed on the survey.  But just to make sure, we'll also confirm with everyone's Kickstarter messages before each shipment about the extras that were added during the campaign AND any added here with the surveys.

We should have an update on the book delivery in about a week and half.  Still waiting on the factory. More on that in the next update!

Hey Everyone,

Got some Updates on stuff! :) 

1. We got news from the Factory that they are finishing up all of the printing, and we should be receiving the full shipment of books in about 4 weeks. Wahoooo!!  Very exciting!!!! That means that Backer Packages will start going out right after that delivery arrives!  So close!!!

2. We will be sending out the Backer Surveys Feb 1st.  We'll let you know for sure when they go out.  This will be coming from BACKERKIT.  

3.  And finally, if you would like to and are able to help, we have created some Option Solutions to help with the unexpected rise in production costs/materials, tariff fees, and increased shipping expenses.

Here are the OPTIONS:  

 --OPTION 1:     We have added an extra addition to the BackerKit survey. You will see it in the "ADD-Ons" Section at the bottom and will be described as "Special Prints to Help" listed on the surveys when they go out.  

 --OPTION 2:     We have set up an indiegogo page that will allow anyone to help with raising some assistance with the new costs. The Page is LIVE now.   Click  here for the PAGE or here is the link:  (There is no obligation. It is just extra help in getting us get across the finish line. )

Hi Everyone! 

Soooo, whew! Here we are . . . 

1.   GuesswhatGuesswhatGuesswhat!! I JUST received an early prototype/advance proof copy.  VERY EXCITING!! Wahoooo!   Attached here are some pics.  Soooo happy to share these with you all finally.  Now, with a book this big, naturally there are a couple little tweaks we have asked to be fixed and adjusted, but pretty much. . .  it's all there.  It is so awesome to hold it in person finally and see it actually exist.  i don't mind admitting that i kinda teared up when i got it. 

2.  So, as explained previously, we've hit some unexpected snags with the tremendous increase in costs and materials . . .  extra tariffs, shipping fees that have gone up, and elevated material costs have all hit us hard.   We're trying to work it all out.   A few of you have reached out personally and been awesome with suggestions and offers of help. Thank you so much for your kindness.  

We've talked and we have a bit of a plan . . . What we'd like to do is offer a Special Herobear PRINT that will serve as a fundraiser to help offset the increase in production costs.   NOTE TO ALL:  This is NOT a prerequisite to get the book or anything.  IT will simply be put out there and whoever wants to be part of it can get a cool extra bit of Herobear artwork and help the cause.  But, understand that it is completely voluntary and not required at all for any of the pledges.  WE will figure all of this out. This just might help lighten the load a little bit.  Anyway, we will have more news and specifics on this pretty soon in another update. 

3.  Surveys.  These will be coming from BackerKit and will be going out soon.  Just finishing up putting it all together. Whew! It's a lot to organize.  

4. Book arrival and shipping . . . the most important of news. haha  So it looks like the books could be arriving in about a month and a half, fingers crossed!  So exciting!!!   I will know more confirmation in a few weeks.   Once they arrive, we'll confirm all Stretch Goal items with the books and begin the massive process of packing and shipping out these hefty packages.  Gonna be some tired postal/delivery workers . . . Having grown to nearly 600 pages, this book weighs so much!  It's packed with lotsa good stuff.  

5.  And finally, as said above, attached are a bunch of photos.  Enjoy! So happy to share this with you all. It's exciting to be this close!!  More news again soon!

Sliiiight Pause in things :/

Hey everyone,

Just a short update on things.

We've hit a little pause...

The book is done. Yay!  All artwork and layout and design is all done and together. Yay!  Stretch Goal Rewards are coming together! Yay!   Howeverrrr, some speed bumps have come up. Drat!! 

Along with the book now being much bigger in page length(awesome), the materials for the book have gone up...which has increase the production cost(not so awesome).  And now not only that, we are now facing tariffs as well(not awesome at all).  All of this together combined has created an additional 35% increase to the book's cost and final production.  35%!! eeesh.

Now  . . .we're figuring it out.  We are gonna solve this.   But it's just creating a sliiiight pause in the finishing of things.  Don't worry though.  We WILL get this done.  No matter what, we'll solve this.  We just wanted to keep you all in the loop of things.  

We really anticipate that we'll have some good news very soon, we just wanted everyone to know where things were at.  The project is going to be awesome.  Just a slight pause.   Just catching our breath before the final push to the finish line. :)   

So thank you for your patience!  And as always . . . i'm so excited to share this adventure with you all!! :)

Couple bits o' HAPPY news!

Hi everyone! 

Just wanted to let you know some happy news!  . . .

The book files have been delivered to the printer!!!!

Wahoooooo! :)

So excited to get the process going with them and see the book get that much closer to completion.  And, not only is  the good news that it is in their hands. . .  the other good news is also that it has GROWN to be 555 pages!!!

 That's 555!!!! Whew! 

 SO much fun stuff has been added to this!!! I'm so excited to share this with you all. 

Now that the printer has it, we will have a better sense of the timeline very soon once we discuss some stuff with them. But we're so excited to see it moving along in the process!
